Vietnam’s Public Holidays in 2024
Vietnam’s public holidays are administered by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam (MoLISA).
Employees seeking to plan ahead and schedule their allotted paid holidays can now mark these dates in their calendars. When a public holiday falls on a weekend – either Saturday or Sunday – the following Monday will be considered a paid holiday.
The Lunar New Year (Tet) is generally considered the most important holiday in Vietnam. It is a five-day holiday during which it is customary for workers to return to their hometowns. In this light, local businesses are widely known to close during this time.

Note: When a public holiday falls on a weekend, the day on which it is observed is at the discretion of the prime minister.

Hi there. If I apply today (thursday 27th), and it takes 3 working days, does that mean I will not receive my Visa letter until after the 3rd or is there a chance for the remaining 2 working days (27th, 28th)?
Since the Offices will all be shut
Or will online e-visa applications still be processed?
