International Trade Fair Opens in Hanoi on April 14
Apr. 13 – The 20th Vietnam International Trade Fair, also called the Vietnam Expo 2010, will be held in Hanoi from April 14-17.
The fair will bring together 700 stalls from 400 companies originating in 20 localities all over the country, as well as companies from 17 countries and territories. This year’s theme is “Vietnam -A Great Opportunity for Trade and Investment,” with the goal of accelerating export and domestic consumption and marketing major export goods and services.
This is a chance for both local and foreign companies to make business and government contacts in addition to scoping market potential. The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thanh Bien, said in a statement this month that the expo will be an excellent opportunity for Vietnam to expand its trade links with other countries as the country is taking over the ASEAN chairmanship and will soon play host to the 16th ASEAN Summit.
The fair is hosted by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and will be held in the Vietnam Exhibition & Fair Center at 148 Giang Vo Rd., Hanoi. During last year’s fair, 526 export and trade investment contracts and agreements were signed.
