Direct Flights to United States to Begin 2010

Feb. 18 – Vietnam Airlines will open direct flights to the United States in 2010 in an effort to increase bilateral trade and tourism.

Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration deputy director Lai Xuan Thanh told Vietnam News that more flights to the United States were needed to match growing economic ties between Vietnam and the United States. The airline company is in the process of preparing the planes and marketing.
