36 Fees and Charges Cut to Stimulate Vietnamese Economy
The Ministry of Finance in Vietnam recently announced a series of fee and charge reductions aimed at stimulating the country’s economy. These cuts will be effective from July 1, 2023, until the end of December 2023. The reduction in fees and charges is expected to provide relief to businesses and individuals. We list the respective reductions in fees and charges.
As part of a raft of policy initiatives to stimulate the Vietnamese economy, the Ministry of Finance announced at the end of June, that 36 administrative fees and charges would be cut by up to 50 percent. They are expected to stimulate the economy to the tune of VND 700 billion (US$42 million).
These cuts are detailed in Circular 44/2023/TT-BTC.
What fees and charges are being cut?
The reductions in fees and charges will benefit a broad range of sectors and industries, such as banking, construction, aviation, and food safety. These cuts are detailed in the table below. Further information can be found in the accompanying circulars.
