HCMC Announces Changes to Business Registration
Jun. 30 – Beginning July 3, the process of obtaining a business registration in Ho Chi Minh City will be streamlined to become less time consuming and simpler.
In the past, businesses had to apply for tax registration after registering their business with the Planning and Investment Department. The government is now accepting applications for business and tax registration. The certificates will be issued within five working days of all requirements have been submitted.
The local police department will issue the business’ seal and seal sample registration certificate. This policy to streamline business procedures comes from the Joint-Ministerial Circular No. 05/2008/TTLT-BKH-BTC-BCA released o July 29, 2008 and issued by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Public Security.
The circular hopes to clarify coordination among business registries, tax offices and seal registries for enterprises establishing and operating under the Enterprises Law.
